Albertine New York City
The New Library opened the on the 27th september 2014. It is located in the 972 Fith Avenue in New York city. It's a French library where you can find more than 14 000 books.
The origin of the name "Albertine" refers to the book of Marcel Proust a famous french writter ;"In the Shadow of Young Girls in Flower"
The architect Jacques Garcia was honored to design the new bookshop. It has an area of 150 m² so it's a big bookshop!
It's the opportunities for francophone and anglophone too, to find titles in French and either to dicover French litterature or enrich their knowledge of French litterature in English translation!
Here you can see a little video of Jacques Garcia who explains the conception of the library! Enjoy it !
