During the 3 hours of the film, it states all the wall account of the life inside the museum and different paintings which we could find there. In fact, the particularity of this documentary is that there are neither voice narration nor talker, only some guides who explain some paintings. • The New Library opened the on the 27th september 2014. It is located in the 972 Fith Avenue in New York city. It's a French library where you can find more than 14 000 books.

The origin of the name "Albertine" refers to the book of Marcel Proust a famous french writter ;"In the Shadow of Young Girls in Flower"

The architect Jacques Garcia was honored to design the new bookshop. It has an area of 150 m² so it's a big bookshop!

It's the opportunities for francophone and anglophone too, to find titles in French and either to dicover French litterature or enrich their knowledge of French litterature in English translation!

Here you can see a little video of  Jacques Garcia who explains the conception of the library! Enjoy it !

  • Shakespeare and Compagny is a bookshop which is located in the 5th district of Paris. There we can find a lot of books and novels about policy, classical litterature, fiction... All of this in english ! wink2

In the Xvth century, it was a monastery.

In 1951, George Whitman, a journalist coming from New-Jersey built a real literary circle in this place. In 1964, he named the bookshop Shakespeare and Compagny because of the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's birth and to pay a tribute to Sylvia Beach's book : Shakespeare and Company (she was a librarian during the 2 world wars and wrote this book with her memories of the interwar).

    Shakespeare and Compagny

What is specific about this bookshop ? It's that above the books rooms, there is a place where travellers can be hosted and fed in return to work a few hours a day in Shakespeare and Compagny and to write their own autobiography... This travellers are nicknamed the « Tumbleweeds ». yes

Thanks for reading my article and have a nice day ! ^^
