• In the 17th century, the dutch were the first europeens settlers to set foot on the territory of south africa.

    In 1886 gold was discovered in Johannessburg and the city became wealthy, then the city was called "The city of gold". Unfortunetely the boer war began in 1899 between the dutch and the british. The war finished in 1902 cause to the british's victory. Moroever the first universal suffrage elections were organized in 1994, and the winner was Nelson Mandela, so he became president of south africa in 1995. In the same year, the south africa won the world cup rugby turnament.

    In our days South Africa became a republic called "Republic Of South Africa", lived by 50 500 000 inhabitants and its capital's name is Pretoria. In this country the money is the rand, and they are 11 differents languages especially english, afrikaan, setswana, sessotho, xhona, and zulu. Cause to environment and subtropycal climate the Kruger national park could welcome girafes, lions, leopards, elephants, and zebras. To conclude south africa is the most developed  country in Africa.

    The republic of South Africa is well-known firstly because of its apartheid wich began in 1948. The capital city is Pretoria. The contry count 50,500,000 citizens and mixes differents languages like English, Affrikaans or Zulu. South Africa is also the country wich welcomed the birth of Nelson Mandela, who will be one of the most engaged man in the fight against the apartheid. He was born the 18th of July 1918 in a small village. Since is youngest age, he participated in protests to defends black's rights. He is quickly recognized as the leader of Freedom fighters. In 1962, Mandela is arrested for plottins against the gouvernement and spent 27 years of his life in prison. 5 years after his liberation,his proclamed president of South Africa.

  • Today, I would like to talk about a very famous autobiography that I have read for my TPE whose the subject was "Deaf in French society". This book's name is Helen Keller :deaf, dumb and blind : Story of my life, I really liked this book and I found it very touching because it is a true story.

    As the matter of fact, Helen Keller was an American author, political activist, and lecturer. She was born in 1880, and affected by a serious disease at the age of almost two years, she bacame dead and blind, then dumb with the time because she had many difficulties of communications with her entourage. She will help by Anne Sullivan, a young teacher, who learns her to communicate thanks to gestures. Later, it will give sign language.Despite her disability, she had a university degree who raise admiration in his country : The States. Besides, she inspired the movie "Miracle en Alabama".

  • The 7th January, a very tragic event happened. A terrorist attack against the seat of Charlie Hebdo killed twelve person whose Cabu, Charb, Wolinski and Moris, journalists and drawers very known in France. They were killed because they did satiricals drawings represented the prophet in differents positions inacceptable for their.

    We think is an act inhuman and horrible to kill someone for what he thinks. Where is our liberty of expression ? So, France decided to create a slogan to unite everyone in this tragic event "We are Charlie". It is a rallying means between the Frenchs.
